Astrophysics Applications
The astrophysics community in Enabling Grids for E-sciencE (EGEE) is growing, both in terms of astronomical research groups and related applications. Two astrophysical applications have been
supported by EGEE since 2004: Planck and Magic. In early 2007 these applications received their own “cluster” or dedicated bunch of computers.

Earth Science Applications
The members of the Enabling Grids for E-sciencE (EGEE) Earth Science and Geophysics group belong to the earth science and computer science communities from academia, industry and research and service organisations. Applications cover a large range of domains: atmospheric chemistry, meteorology, solid earth physics, hydrology, geosciences, climate and space weather.

VO Support Group
Enabling Grids for E-sciencE supports a worldwide grid infrastructure and provides services to all kinds of user communities, be they large or small. Virtual Organisations (VOs), groups of users having similar goals and wanting to share
computational resources and expertise, play a central role in the grid authorisation framework. VOs decide on their membership and each user’s level of access to the VO’s shared resources.
