Meeting of the European Association representatives of Grid certification authorities and representatives of infrastructure providers
A work meeting of representatives of the European Association of Grid certification authorities and representatives of the providers of e-Infrastructures EUGridPMA (The European Policy Management Authority for Grid Authentication in e-Science) was held on January 18-20, 2016 at the Institute of Informatics of the SAS in Bratislava. Together with the representatives of Slovakia, the meeting was attended by representatives from the Netherlands, Great Britain, Germany, France, Czech Republic, Austria and the USA.
The goal of the Association is to support creating of a trusted environment for distributed IT infrastructure for science and research. The meetings are held regularly three times a year in the member countries. Also representatives of American and Asian associations having the same focus are being invited for the meetings. Together, the associations represent the worldwide association IGTF (International Grid Trust Federation). The objectiv of the meeting is to negotiate the proposals and approval of policies aimed at providing the identity of users, and also provide resources to the European and world global e-infrastructure for the science and research (EGI, PRACE, WLCG, OSG, etc.).
The Bratislava meeting was attended by 10 participants in person and another 20 participants were teleconferencing.
