Short bio

Milos studied Telecommunication engineering at Slovak Technical University in Bratislava, where he obtained a Bachelor degree (1999) and a Master degree (2001) both in Informatics, and a PhD degree (2005) in Telecommunication engineering. During his PhD study, where he was focused on basic and applied Text-to-Speech (TTS) research he spent 3 months in 2002 at Virtual Reality Application Center at Iowa State University in the USA as a Boeing scholar. Milos worked for Slovak Academy of Sciences in 2004-2005, mainly focused on speech analysis, synthesis and recognition techniques. In 2006 Milos moved to France, where he worked with Prof. Chris Wellekens under the aegis of EC 6th Framework project DIVINES, as a post-doc engineer at Institute Eurecom in Sophia-Antipolis. There he was dealing with a diagnostics of error behaviors of machine speech recognizers. In 2007 was Milos a consultant of Acapela R&D TTS group. Now he is again with Institute of Informatics of Slovak Academy of Sciences. Milos is a member of IEEE Signal Processing Society.
