Summary:
New developments in the field of fast algorithms for the effective computation of
modified discrete cosine/sine transform (MDCT/MDST), integer approximation of the
MDCT/MDST, new sparse matrix factorizations of MDCT/MDST matrices, and new implementations
of the MDCT in specific audio coding standards and commercial proprietary audio compression
algorithms. New developments in the field of design and analysis of new effective methods
for digital curve smoothing for the purposes of approximation, coding, evaluation and
classification of objects in digital images.
